THE DON'TS
- Clean & Disinfect EVERYTHING before the rush! Cooler walls, floors, doors, & buckets. Clean tools & tables a few times daily, buckets after every use.
- Daily Sweep: Sweep cooler floors several times a day to get rid of leaves, petals, & stems that may carry disease spores.
- Inspect & Process flowers ASAP: Don’t let them sit! Get your flowers hydrated & nourished as quickly as possible after receiving them. Dose right, carefully measure flower food following directions. Remove shipping sleeves as needed & be sure to place them in a cooler with good airflow.
- Keep your cool! Check your cooler temps 3-4 times daily, ideal cooler environment for most cut flowers is 34-38F (1-3C) & relative humidity of 75-85%.
- Send every customer home with a flower food sachet. Cut or no-cut, FloraLife® Express packets mean customers will benefit and so will you!
- Do not leave flowers outside the cooler unless you want them to open faster.
- Do not cut flowers underwater.
- Do not leave stems out of flower food solution once cut.
- Do not store or display flowers near fruits and vegetables.
- Do not display flowers in direct sunlight, extreme heat, or drafts.
- Don’t assume, assign responsibility to guarantee tasks are completed!
