chilean french tulipsFrench Tulips From Chile have just started arriving!  When I asked Gary Gardiner, our Chicago Flower Buyer, what makes these tulips special, he said "Just say French Tulips,  it says it all!"  And they are gorgeous, nice strong stem and color.  The growing season is just starting in the southern hemisphere so we will be having lots of new flowers in the upcoming weeks.  Besides tulips, we have in stock Chilean Ranunculus and next week, Peonies from Chile.

Shown on the cover of the  October's issue of Better Homes and Gardens, these decorative fruits bring the just right green chartreuse to the orange, yellow and brown of fall designs.

Hedge Apples are the fruit of the Osage Orange (Maclura pomifera) tree.  The tree was originally planted to create a fence row before barbed wire was invented.  The fruit is believed to keep spiders out of the house.
